Little Barrie

Little Barrie certainly are a London-based trio whose sound can be an exciting mixture of hard rock and roll, blues, spirit, and funk that phone calls to mind vintage bands from the ’60s like Visitors and Cream, and whose loose and groovy earthiness earns them a location near the front side from the jam music group class. Created in Nottingham in 2000 by Barrie Cadogan (acoustic guitar, vocals), Wayne Fulwood (drums, vocals), and Lewis Wharton (bass), Small Barrie released a small number of singles for little brands like Stark Fact and Showdown before obtaining authorized to Genuine Recordings and starting focus on their 1st recording. Made by indie pop story Edwyn Collins (whom Cadogan experienced met while employed in a acoustic guitar store), We Are Small Barrie strike the shops in Feb 2005. Recorded during the period of 23 weeks in Collins’ studio room, working just on Wednesdays because of Collins’ busy timetable, the music group concocted an record that noises both meticulously crafted and bashed out. The record premiered in 2007 by PIAS/Wall structure of Sound. In 2008 Virgil Howe, the kid of Yes guitarist Steve Howe, became a member of the music group on drums. They shortly went back in to the studio room with Edwyn Collins and started focus on their third record, King from the Waves, that was released in 2011 on Stomach Touch Information. The music group continued their functioning romantic relationship with Collins because of their fourth studio room record, Shadow. The record was created and documented in North London with engineer Seb Lewsley and released in 2014, once more on Tummy Contact Records.
