Listing Ship

Pop-classical group Listing Ship was founded in LA, CA, by songwriters Lyman Chaffee (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Heather Lockie (vocals, viola), who in the beginning called their group Leather Hyman like a punning rearrangement from the letters of the first names. Joined up with by bass and synthesizer participant Pablo Garcia, they released their debut recording, Host Body, in January 1997. Sunlight and OTHER STYLES of Radiation adopted around the Orchard label in Apr 2000. For 2002’s Dance Course Trend, released by Accurate Classical, they transformed their name towards the even more accessible Listing Dispatch while adding drummer Matt Stein. In Oct 2005, because they prepared to discharge their fourth record, Time to Fantasy, a news release detailed the band’s employees, furthermore to Chaffee and Lockie, as including Shawn Lockie (vocals), Julie Carpenter (violin), Laura Steenberger (acoustic bass), Michael Whitmore (vibraphone, electric guitar, banjo, mandolin), and Kyle C. Kyle (drums). All had been featured, and also other musicians, promptly to Fantasy when True Traditional released it in January 2006.
