Kansas Town, Missouri-based indie clothing Listener combine spoken term making use of their own unique Southern rock and roll and punk-influenced audio. Originally a single task for frontman Dan Smith in 2002, Listener eventually evolved into a natural ensemble offering Smith on vocals and bass, Christin Nelson on electric guitar, and Kris Rochelle on drums. Listener possess several albums with their name, including 2003’s Whispermoon, 2005’s Ozark Empire, and 2010’s Wooden Center. In 2013, Listener released their 4th full-length album, Period Is really a Machine. Nelson still left the band 2 yrs later, changed by touring guitarist Jon Terrey.
