With her affinity for bowler hats, punky couture, and imprecise indie pop, Lissy Trullie established herself as a fresh York fashion icon and rising musician in 2008. Her well-clad amount graced the web pages of such magazines as Elle, SOMA, and Jalouse, while her lo-fi musical demos seduced the interest of many record brands. Trullie eventually agreed upon with American Myth Recordings and released her debut EP, Self-Taught Learner, in Feb 2009. A beefed-up edition from the EP made an appearance several months afterwards, following Trullie’s putting your signature on to Downtown Information. In past due 2009, she started focus on her full-length debut, carrying out tentative recording periods with Bernard Butler (previously of Suede) but eventually clicking with John Hill (Rihanna, Kings of Leon, M.We.A.) and Dave Sitek (Television on the air).
