Lisa o Piu

Dreamy Swedish singer/songwriter Lisa Isaksson honed her atmospheric mixture of psychedelic art rock and breathy indie folk on her behalf mother’s old classical guitar, which had spent an excellent most its life gathering dust in the family attic. Given birth to beyond Stockholm, Isaksson spent very much her youngsters around horses, with dreams of teaching driving and buying her personal stables. A lot of that rural imagery discovered its method into her lyrics, onto her trusty multi-track recorder, and out to the general public with the introduction of Cantering, her home-recorded CD-R debut, released beneath the moniker Lisa O Lillportan. Ultimately, Lisa discovered enough likeminded people to create a band, leading to Lisa o Piu. Sketching evaluations to everyone from Vashti Bunyan to Joanna Newsom, the recently minted group released its full-length debut, When THIS IS the Future, around the Subliminal Seems label in ’09 2009.
