Lionheart

Shaped in 1980 by Dennis Stratton (guitar) on his leave from Iron Maiden, he was became a member of in this crusade by vocalist Jess Cox (b. Britain, ex-Tygers Of Skillet Tang), Frank Noon (Next Music group/ Def Leppard) on drums, Steve Mann (Liar) on acoustic guitar and Rocky Newton (Wildfire) on bass. They produced their highly amazing debut one Sunday night in the Marquee, London, but experienced bad press because of criticism of Cox. This resulted in the cancellation of another two looks and noticed Cox changed by Reuben Archer (Lautrec). Noon quit in 1981 to become listed on Paul Di’Anno’s music group before leaving for Waysted. The nucleus of Stratton, Mann and Newton continuing with several line-ups that included drummers Les Binks (Judas Priest) and Clive Edwards (Grand Prix). In 1982 they agreed upon to ROCK Records but just managed to discharge one track, over the ROCK Heroes, Vol. 2 compilation. That monitor, ‘Lionheart’, remains the only real representative recording of the early sound, because they afterwards changed their design significantly. By adding Chad Dark brown on vocals and program drummer Robert Jenkins, they continued to record an record with manufacturer Kevin Beamish (REO Speedwagon). This is a slick, Americanized work that didn’t capture the previous fans’ curiosity or that of their market in america. In 1985 the music group continuing with drummer Andy Bierne and Phil Lanzon (keyboards), who was simply using re-formed glam rockers Special. Following a while, Lanzon also still left and was changed by Steve Mann from Stratus and brand-new vocalist Keith Murrell. They ultimately split in 1986, with Bierne entering administration, Murrell to Mama’s Children and Newton and Mann signing up for MSG. Stratton afterwards found popularity in Japan within the United kingdom All Superstars/ Praying Mantis line-up, which highlighted several ex-New Influx Of United kingdom Heavy Metal music artists.
