Lioness

Founded by lead singer and songwriter Teri Owens, and largely influenced by her staunch Rastafarian beliefs and morals, Lioness’ appear is rendered exclusive from the employment of instrumentation attracted from beyond reggae’s normal canon, notably Janet Irvine’s flute. Their ‘social’ lyrics are similarly refreshing, a go back to the origins flavour that is overshadowed by contemporary dancehall tastes.
