Lion Babe

A FRESH York City-based duo using a simultaneously left-of-center and slightly retro spin on R&B, Lion Babe includes vocalist Jillian Hervey and manufacturer Lucas Goodman. Both met at a celebration in the campus of Boston’s Northeastern School, when Hervey, the little girl of Vanessa Williams, overheard monitors Goodman, aka Astro Organic, had made and struck up a discussion with him. Their initial song, “Deal with Me Like Fireplace,” was produced a couple of years afterwards, published to SoundCloud in November 2012, plus they had been subsequently purchased by Polydor in the U.K. Lion Babe resurfaced in Dec 2014 using a self-titled four-track EP that highlighted “Deal with Me Like Fireplace,” aswell as “Leap Hello there,” a strutting amount which Childish Gambino came out. After a high light contribution to Disclosure’s second record Caracal (“Hour Cup”), and a stint starting for this duo on tour, Lion Babe finished Start, their debut record. It was released in Feb 2016.
