Linton Garner

Pianist and arranger Linton Garner, the sibling of the fantastic pianist Errol Garner, toured and recorded with Fletcher Henderson in the first ’40s. Following military service, he had written arrangements, performed in and documented with Billy Eckstine’s orchestra in 1946 and 1947, Earl Coleman and Excess fat Navarro in 1948, Babs Gonzales in 1949 and Una Mae Carlisle in 1950. He led his very own trio by the end from the ’50s, and through the middle-’70s was resident pianist in a Vancouver, Canada resort.
