Though she was a sang and wrote songs as a kid, Linda J. Albertano gave it up to try spoken-word readings. Using her BFA in filmmaking from UCLA, she started staging intricate intermedia shows around LA and, at exactly the same time, obtained local fame on her behalf poetry readings. Known as 1989’s Best Feminine Performer-Poet with the L.A. Regular, Albertano provides released a spoken-word record on New Alliance known as Skin.
