Lily & Madeleine

Focusing on ethereal, introspective indie folk in the vein of artists like MEDICAL Package and Fleet Foxes (with only a contact of Taylor Swift), Indianapolis, Indiana-based siblings Lily and Madeleine Jurkiewicz first captured the public’s attention having a black-and-white D.We.Y. video for his or her first original track, “In the centre,” which garnered over half of a million YouTube strikes. The precocious teens’ wealthy harmonies and penchant for crafting classic melodies ultimately led these to Asthmatic Kitty Information, where they enlisted aid from maker Paul Mahern and bassist/songwriter Kenny Childers (Gentleman Caller) to greatly help put the completing touches on the debut EP, early 2013’s The Excess weight of the world. The duo’s eponymous debut long-player showed up later on that fall months. In 2014 the sisters joined the studio room to record their even more expansive sophomore recording, Fumes, that was released later on that 12 months. Their third full-length, Maintain It Together, continuing in direction of more complex plans without troubling the directness from the duo’s vocal delivery. With Mahern once again in the producer’s seat, it was released via New Western Information in early 2016.
