Lillian Lorraine

b. 1 January 1892, SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, California, USA, d. 17 Apr 1955, NEW YORK, NY, USA. Lorraine produced her 1st Broadway appearance in Miss Innocence (1908). Getting the eye, actually and figuratively, of Florenz Ziegfeld, she was in a number of editions from the Ziegfeld Follies, included in this 1909-12 inclusive and once again in 1918. Her romantic relationship with Ziegfeld was for a while intimate, a thing that was in no way uncommon where this compulsive womanizer was worried. Lorraine was also in the musicals and revues ON THE River (1912), The Whirl FROM THE World (1914), THE TINY Blue Devil (1920), Ziegfeld Ladies Of 1920 as well as the Blue Kitten (1922).
