Lillian Boutté

A versatile singer located in New Orleans, Lillian Boutte is with the capacity of singing both New Orleans Dixieland specifications and New Orleans R&B, swing-era music, and modern originals. She sang as a kid (earning a vocal competition when she was 11), performed with her college’s gospel choir, and in 1973, was employed by Allen Toussaint like a back-up singer for the countless projects documented in his studio room. Boutte made an appearance as an celebrity and singer within the musical One Mo’ Period during 1979-1984, documented a gospel recording using the Olympia Brass Music group in 1980, and in 1982, produced her 1st jazz recording. Boutte offers spent period alternating between living and carrying out in European countries and New Orleans, and she’s been closely connected with reed participant Thomas L’Etienne who generally leads her back-up groups. Over time, Lillian Boutte offers recorded for most labels (mainly in European countries) including Herman, Have the Jazz, High Culture, Turning Stage, Timeless, Southland, Storyville, GHB, Calligraph (with Humphrey Lyttelton), Blues Beacon, and Dinosaur Entertainment.
