San Francisco’s indie pop matches hip-hop trio Lil Pocket Blade includes rapper Lil Pocket Blade (aka Kristy Geschwandtner), keytarist George Patterson (formerly of Portland, Oregon’s Knodel), and drummer Zero Abilities (aka Lynae Burns up). Prior to the group created officially, Burns up and Patterson have been taking part in together, with Burns up on keytar and Patterson on drums, but Patterson became the better keytarist as well as the set switched instruments. Burns up fulfilled Geschwandtner in 2001, if they both relocated in to the same warehouse. Geschwandtner was a longtime hip-hop lover, and have been focusing on her personal raps and break-dancing techniques that shown her fact as a white female originally from NJ. When Patterson became a member of Burns in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, they began focusing on fresh wave-inspired music for Geschwandtner to rap over, and with Lil Pocket Blade, the band was created. Though they didn’t record very much in their start, the trio quickly became referred to as among the city’s greatest party bands; in addition they played the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Ladyfest in 2002, cementing their status like a can’t-miss live take action. Lil Pocket Blade spent the next year documenting their Trousers Control EP, that they offered at their displays until it had been provided a wider launch by Narnack in springtime 2004.
