Lightning Like are an indie pop trio located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The music group came jointly in past due 2006 when drummer/songwriter Aaron Diehl teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Ben Collins to flesh out some solo house demos his sister Leah Diehl acquired made using simply piano and vocals. Leah’s music were the starting place for the music group, mixing her wispy twee-inflected vocals over simple minimal pop music with self-deprecating and anxiety-ridden lyrics. The music group performed locally, quickly attaining a large pursuing and launching its debut record, November Birthday, in 2008. The music group worked on brand-new music and toured continuously. In 2011 Lightning Like had been among six semifinalists within a battle from the rings competition kept by Billboard newspaper in NEVADA. Though Lightning Like were selected through well-known vote as the music group to represent the Midwest in the competition, they dropped out as the ultimate champion to Gentlemen Hall, another unsigned indie action. Immediately after this, the music group returned to a period of activity, launching girls Who APPEAR TO BE Me EP in January of 2012 and pursuing using the sophomore full-length Blonde Record in August from the same year.
