Light Fantastic

Light Fantastic can be an indie pop group that wraps tuneful melodies in reverb-steeped jangle. The music group was shaped in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA by Terry Sowers, who was simply writing songs by himself while playing electric guitar in Farmer Dave Scher’s group. He distributed the songs along with his musician friend Jeremy Bringetto (Vue, Tamaryn), and, with insight from manufacturer and Bringetto bandmate Rex Shelverton, they discovered a house for the music within a shoegaze and surf-influenced audio partly motivated by their Bay Region locale. With Sowers on lead vocals and electric guitar, Bringetto on bass, Kevin Adamson on electric guitar, Rachel Hoiem on keyboards, and Scott Goldberg on drums, they released an eponymous EP in 2013 for the Religious Pajamas label. With Jae Rodriguez changing Adamson on electric guitar, their full-length debut, Out of Watch, found its way to 2016.
