Lifelover

Cited among the generating forces in back of the ultra-bleak, black colored steel subgenre depressive suicidal black colored steel (DSBM), Sweden’s Lifelover was shaped in 2005 in Stockholm by Jonas Bergqvist and Kim Carlsson. Bergqvist find the intentionally ironic name Lifelover after getting having the expression hurled at him by an acquaintance he especially loathed. Combining components of post-punk, goth rock and roll, dark ambient, and doom metallic, Lifelover released their debut recording, Pulver, via Goatowarex in 2006, accompanied by Erotik (2007), Konkurs (2008), and Sjukdom (2011), the second option of which became the band’s last studio room album due to the unintentional overdose loss of life of guitarist/co-founder Bergqvist.
