Liechtenstein’s bittersweet, reverb-slicked audio, rooted in seminal twee pop works like Dolly Mix and Talulah Gosh, positioned them squarely in group with likeminded early-2000s groupings like Betty as well as the Werewolves, the Aches to be Pure in mind, and Sexy Children. Renée Gustafsson, Naemi Pebaque, and Theresa produced the group in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2005, and its own debut 7″, Stalking Abilities, arrived via Sweden’s Small percentage Discs 2 yrs afterwards. Drummer Elin Engstrom was welcomed in to the flip around that point, and the music group spent another year playing little shows around European countries. Theresa amicably divide with Liechtenstein in middle-2008, only a few months prior to the group’s second 7″, Apathy, premiered. The lineup transformation did small to hinder Liechtenstein’s momentum; by early 2009, the trio acquired two brand-new singles from Slumberland Information and Drill Building. Liechtenstein’s debut full-length, Success Strategies in today’s World, premiered on Small percentage Discs and Slumberland in summer months of 2009.
