Liane Carroll

b. 9 Feb 1964, London, Britain. Elevated in Hastings, East Sussex, and south London, Carroll examined piano from age three. During her early youth, she recalls her parents performing and hearing jazz, spirit and modern pop on information. She started composing from eight years of age. At 15, Carroll became a member of Gemini, a jazz/funk music group, playing keyboards and in addition singing just a little. Her affects in these early years had been varied, including several rock artists. Departing school, Carroll caused various rings, developing her executing and compositional abilities. She performed piano at Eastbourne’s Grand Resort where she also sang at weekends using the dance music group. In the past due 80s, she joined up with Trevor W’ Moiré Music Drum Orchestra, going to India, New Zealand, Canada and the united states. Carroll also proved helpful in rings under Dave Holdsworth, Gerry Rafferty, Jerry Donohue, Long John Baldry among others and in addition became a reputed program musician. She produced her very own trio, an organization that included bass participant Roger Carey, whom she acquired met and wedded in the middle-80s, and documented albums for the Jazz Artwork, Bridge and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Home brands. From 1996-2002, Carroll caused singer-songwriter-guitarist Peter Kitley, with whom she constructed many music. They appeared jointly on the charity one for deprived Brazilian road children, which Carroll’s support vocalist was Paul McCartney. Among instrumentalists with whom Carroll spent some time working are bass players Steve Lamb and Colin Gibson, and drummers Greg Leppard, Dave Trigwell and Dave Mattocks. Her trio in 2006 highlighted bass participant Carey and drummer Tag Fletcher. From 1996 onwards Carroll caused Hospital Information and in 2003 toured internationally using a music group produced by label owner Tony Colman that performed on the Brazilian Electro Dance Music Celebration in Brasilia. In the first years of the brand new millennium she started documenting for the Splash Stage label, releasing some outstanding recordings that embraced jazz, R&B as well as the singer-songwriter tradtion. In 2005, Carroll made a decision to focus on her jazz function and in mid-summer that calendar year she became the initial person to earn two BBC jazz honours in the same calendar year: Jazz Vocalist Of THE ENTIRE YEAR and Greatest Of Jazz. The next year, she received the Marston’s Pedigree English Jazz Award as Vocalist Of THE ENTIRE YEAR. Furthermore to carrying out, Carroll also shows at jazz summer season schools in the united kingdom and Europe and in addition conducts workshops.
