Lew Preston and his Men of the Range

A Fort Well worth, TX music group initially, the Males of the number were a vocal band of the type later on exemplified from the Riders from the Crimson Sage. They relocated to Oklahoma Town in 1940. The group included variously Lew Preston on acoustic guitar, Jake Wright on acoustic guitar, Foy Ready (eventual Crimson Sage founder) on metal acoustic guitar and Elmer Crenshaw on bass.
