LeVert

The son of O’Jays founder Eddie Levert, R&B vocalist Gerald Levert launched his own recording career in the middle-’80s as the first choice of the group LeVert. Rounding out the group was a different one of Eddie Levert’s sons, Sean, furthermore to member Marc Gordon, as the trio released such well-known recordings as 1985’s I Obtain Popular, 1986’s Bloodline (which spawned the main hit one “Pop Pop Pop Runs My Brain”), 1987’s THE BEST Throwdown, and 1988’s Simply Coolin’, as the last mentioned two releases gained gold certification. With the ’90s, Gerald begun to divide his time taken between LeVert and a burgeoning single profession (including a cooperation with his dad, titled Dad and Boy), as LeVert released such further strike albums as 1990’s Rope a Dope Design, 1993’s For True Tho’, and 1997’s Entire Scenario. 2001 noticed the discharge of the 14-monitor compilation of LeVert’s strikes, THE VERY BEST Of, on Rhino Information.
