Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc

Famed because of their appearance in Christophe Barratier’s 2004 Oscar-nominated Les Choristes, Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc (known in Spain as Los Chicos del Coro de Saint-Marc) are among the world’s most well-known children’s choirs. Produced in 1986 by movie director Nicolas Porte at Lyon’s Saint-Marc University, the blended choir of 75 performers, aged ten to 15, provides performed its combination of religious hymns, Gregorian chants, and modern classical parts across European countries, the U.S., and Asia since. In 1995, these were appointed the state children’s choir from the Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourviere, where they frequently be a part of church providers and religious festivities, but their most high-profile accomplishment emerged when member Jean-Baptise Maunier arrived the lead function in Les Choristes.
