Biography
This underrated swinging bop group was earmarked with the distinctive sound of Julius Watkins on French horn. The music group also included Monk sax participant Charlie Rouse, pianist Gildo Mahones, bassist Ron Jefferson, and occasionally percussionist Chano Pozo. Five albums had been documented by Les Jazz Settings in the middle- to past due ’50s, plus some from the group’s music provides eventually been reissued/put together by Koch and Collectables.
