Produced in 1996, comedy-punk ensemble Les Fatals Picards attained a modicum of renown if they had been a finalist in the 2007 Eurovision song contest. Performing with their local accents, the music group prides itself on lampooning the assault of rap as well as the commercialism of most other styles of music. Their recording Pamplemousse Mécanique, offering their Eurovision-losing strike “L’Amour ? la Française,” charted at quantity 28 in 2007.
