Together with his brother Larry, trumpeter Les Elgart led one of the most popular golf swing orchestras from the ’50s. His clean, tightly arranged audio helped keep carefully the declining big music group style alive within the graphs for a time much longer, and his afterwards reunions with Larry frequently created stylistic detours into modern easy listening tendencies.
