Virtually there is nothing known approximately Leonore Drewery, a Uk singer who released one rare single in 1965, “Rue”/”THE VERY FIRST TIME Ever” (even though it’s known that she was discovered simply by Richard Harris). The original “Rue” is most likely better known beneath the name “Allow No Man Grab Your Thyme,” that is how Pentangle documented it; “THE VERY FIRST TIME Ever” is way better referred to as “THE VERY FIRST TIME Ever I Noticed THAT PERSON,” the Ewan MacColl melody that became a huge pop strike in the 1970s for Roberta Flack. The only real pop aspect in the recordings by Drewery is really a flute; usually they’re straight, experienced mid-1960s United kingdom folk. Both edges from the one were reissued over the 2003 Compact disc compilation Wish Babes, Vol. 5: Folk Rock and roll and Faithfull.
