Leo Arnaud

Leo Arnaud was a composer and conductor who was simply highly mixed up in Hollywood film sector from the later 1930s towards the mid 1960s, but who’s today best remembered as the author of Bugler’s Dream–the ubiquitous brass fanfare featured on televised broadcasts from the Olympic Video games. Blessed in Lyon, France, in 1904 (as Noël Arnaud), he examined structure with such estimable statistics as Maurice Ravel and Vincent d’Indy before emigrating to america. He immediately started a career being a film composer, offering ratings and orchestrations for several unmemorable movies (Have you ever heard of Blondie will go Latin?); he also assumed the directorship from the Hollywood String Orchestra. Arnaud produced interesting efforts to several significant Hollywood tasks, including composing extra materials for the film version of Meredith Willson’s The Unsinkable Molly Dark brown and performing as musical movie director/conductor for the orchestral rating of One Contact of Venus, starring Ava Gardner. His compositions for the concert hall consist of Symphonie française, In Memoriam, Latin American Situation, and Well Tempered Oboist.
