Lemonescent

Emerging in the first many years of the twenty-first hundred years, this Scottish feminine vocal group attemptedto break right into the void still left within the teenager pop market with the demise from the Spice Girls. Produced in 2001 by Nikki (b. Nikki MacLachlan, 17 Might 1981, Irvine, Scotland), Shonagh (b. Shonagh Strachan, 23 Feb 1985, Irvine, Scotland), Sarah (b. Sarah Cassidy, 14 Might 1981, Glasgow, Scotland) and Lisa Harrison, Lemonescent agreed upon a significant label recording agreement with Supertone/General shortly soon after. The singles ‘Gorgeous’, ‘Sex Dance’, ‘Help Me Mama’ and ‘Cinderella’ had been released in 2003, the final two became Lemonescent’s initial UK Best 40 strikes. Harrison still left the band soon after the discharge of ‘Help Me Mama’, and Emma (b. Emma Cassidy, 7 January 1985, Glasgow, Scotland) and Leona (b. Leona Skimming, Glasgow, Scotland) had been put into the line-up following a series of general public auditions. Issued in Oct 2003, Lemonescent’s debut, Unconditional Like, presented the singles and a lot of sub-standard album songs. The quintet toured with well-known UK young trio Atomic Kitten during early 2004.
