His following opera, Natalia Petrovna (modified as PER MONTH in the united states in 1981), commissioned by the brand new York Town Opera, was premiered in 1964. His following opera was Summer months and Smoke cigarettes (1971). In 1974, he composed another oratorio, Galileo Galilei. In 1982, his children’s opera Something New for the Zoo acquired its globe premiere; The Tempest, commissioned with the Des Moines Metro Opera, was performed in 1986. In 1992, he premiered another oratorio, FOR YOU PERSONALLY O Democracy, to some text message by Walt Whitman. He was also a recognized melody composer and arranger folk music.
