United kingdom avant-garde jazz ensemble Led Bib certainly are a progressive, stylistically different group touching in from swinging post-bop to skronky free of charge jazz and a wholesome dosage of neo-prog and noise rock and roll. Shaped in 2003 by drummer/composer Tag Holub (using the band’s initial gig in Feb of the next season), Led Bib also feature bassist Liran Donin, keyboardist Toby McLaren, and alto saxophonists Pete Grogan and Chris Williams. Sketching on such inspirations as saxophonist Ornette Coleman, avant-garde firebrand John Zorn, free of charge jazz icon Sunlight Ra, as well as ’60s psych rocker Captain Beefheart, Led Bib released their debut record, Arboretum, on Slam in 2005. The band’s sophomore record, Sizewell Ten, lowered in 2007 on Babel. Since 2005, the group provides logged some high-profile gigs, including a one-hour live broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and an appearance on the North Ocean Jazz Celebration. Led Bib released their third studio room effort, Sensible Sneakers, on Cuneiform in ’09 2009, that was nominated for the Mercury Award. In celebration from the group’s tenth wedding anniversary, Cuneiform released two Led Bib albums in-may of 2014: PEOPLE inside your Neighbourhood as well as the limited-edition vinyl fabric LP THE NICE Egg, the last mentioned documented live at two London displays in 2013. In early 2017, Led Bib released Umbrella Climate, their seventh outing, marking the band’s debut for the London-based RareNoise Information.
