Leak Bros.

Drug-rap duo the Leak Bros. was a one-off cooperation between NY shock-rapper Cage and Tame One, previously of defunct, early-‘90s rap staff the Artifacts. The group’s debut coincided with Tame One’s initial solo providing, When Rappers Strike (2003), which included both on “Drip Smoke cigarettes”; and on Cage’s EP Weatherproof, released a couple of months afterwards in 2003, Tame One was the feature for the group self-titled monitor, “Drip Bros.” A loose idea album predicated on PCP and drug-induced fantasies, Drinking water Globe, the duo’s just long-player, was released the following season on Eastern Meeting. Several significant, underground producers constructed the album’s musical backdrops, including J-Zone, Rjd2, and El-P.
