Léa Freire

Multi-instrumentalist Lea Freire emerged in the Brazilian jazz circuit in the past due 1990s. She released her debut record, Ninhal, in 1998. That same season, she collaborated with Teco Cardoso on his live documenting of Quinteto. In 2001, Freire founded Maritaca, her very own record label and released albums by Silvia Runs and Tibo Delor. Freire spent some time working with famous brands Nelson Ayres, Arismar perform Espirito Santo, Elton Medeiros, and Lillian Carmona. Apart from producing music, she’s taught structure and instrumentation at Zimbo Trio Music College. Currently, she shows at the renowned Souza Lima Conservatory college in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
