Lazy Farmer

Many noted for the current presence of guitarist-singer Wizz Jones, a longtime staple from the British folk picture, Lazy Farmer were able to record a single rare, German-only LP within the mid-’70s throughout their short existence. The music group came jointly in 1973 in Cornwall, Britain, with Jones, his banjo-playing wife Sandy Jones, multi-instrumentalist John Bidwell (who’d been section of C.O.B. with ex-Incredible String Music group member Clive Palmer), and Bidwell’s flatmate and fellow multi-instrumentalist Jake Walton. After carrying out some gigging in Cornwall, these were became a member of by another banjo participant, Don Coging, and performed on four monitors on Wizz Jones’ 1973 single record When I Keep Berlin. Jones was performing a large amount of touring in Germany at that time, and his German supervisor got Lazy Farmer an archive cope with the German EMI subsidiary Songbird. Documented near Cologne, Germany, in January 1975, their self-titled LP was achieved if regular 1970s United kingdom folk, largely specialized in traditional materials, although a tune each by Wizz Jones, Ralph McTell, and Derroll Adams was included. Following a German tour in 1975, the music group split up, though their record was restored to wide availability using a Compact disc reissue in 2005.
