Laurie London briefly achieved popularity as a guy vocalist in 1957 when he strike the charts using a edition of a vintage spiritual gospel melody, “He’s Got depends upon in His Hands.” He was created in Bethnal Green, East London, on January 19, 1944, so when just 13 yrs . old, he documented “He’s Got depends upon in His Hands” using the Geoff Like Orchestra, and even though the melody performed well in his indigenous Britain, reaching amount 12 in November 1957, within the U.S. it do better still, peaking at number 1 for a month in Apr 1958 over the DJs’ Most Performed chart, thereby getting the very first record by way of a British-born musician to best the charts within the rock and roll & roll period. He never attained another strike either within the U.S. or the U.K. Laurie London sang both in British and German and acquired many albums released in European countries, but he successfully retired in the saving business while still in his teenagers.
