Latch Key Kid

Located in Manhattan Beach front, CA, Latch Major Kid is usually something of the side task for singer, guitarist, and songwriter Gavin Heaney of Slackstring. The archetypal Western Coast surf child, Heaney graduated from Mira Costa, gained a teaching level at UC Santa Barbara, and worked well as an alternative teacher for a while before devoting most of his time for you to music. He is a fixture around the South Bay picture for years, using AWOL furthermore to Slackstring (a music group that also features guitarist and vocalist Eric Lyman, drummer Matt Muir, and bassist Brett Thomas). As Latch Important Child, Heaney released the eponymous Latch Essential Kid album, documented in his house studio, by himself Shadowmind imprint in 2005. Heaney writes all his very own materials for Latch Essential Kid and has all the musical instruments as well. Many of his music have finished up on soundtracks, including materials for ABC’s Guys in Trees and shrubs and PBS’ Roadtrip Country, Scrubs, One Tree Hill and indie documentaries Sofia and Roam. Another album, Magic Mile, premiered in 2008. His tune “MEMORIES” was spotlighted prominently within a Coca-Cola advertisement that shown during Super Dish XLI in 2008 and in promo areas for the favorite Australian tv program “Packed towards the Rafters”. Through his affiliation with this show, Latch Essential Kid agreed upon a distribution cope with Warner Music Austrlia who released All Becomes One in ’09 2009.
