Las 15 Letras

Uniting Spanish lyrics with punk, alternative rock and roll and ska, las 15 Letras is one of the Mexican-American rings that arrived of L.A.’s rock and roll en espanol picture within the 1990s. The music group was produced in 1993, when it produced its name from an occurrence in Mexican history–it was before a bar known as las 15 Letras (that is Spanish for the 15 Words) that Mexican independence fighter Pancho Villa wiped out somebody who betrayed him. That calendar year, the music group started experimenting Southern California, and it could soon get a little underground following using its forceful however melodic songs. Todas las 15 Letras’ appealing debut record, Golosinas, premiered on the unbiased Sindiskera label in 1997, when its lineup included vocalist Roberto Negrete (who brings to brain John Lydon, although most of his vocals on Golosinas are in Spanish), guitarist Martin Sanchez, bassist Abel Sanchez, saxophonist Edgar Briones and drummer Jorge Briones.
