Larry Polansky

Composer, performer, guitarist, and educator Larry Polansky provides written and arranged more than 40 functions for a number of instrumentations. He’s a core person in the Frog Top Music composer’s collective, and a broadly released music theorist who co-wrote HSML, or Hierarchical Music Standards Language, with Phil Burk and David Rosenboom, and also other software applications. He trained at Mills University for a decade, then visited Dartmouth, where he shows electro-acoustic music, is normally department Seat, and co-director of its digital music studio room. Recordings of a few of his compositions show up on the Artifact and Tellus brands; THE IDEA of Difficult Melody features the usage of HMSL.
