Larry Gelb

Larry Gelb is a composer-lyricist, jazz pianist-teacher, and writer. Apart from albums, he provides written film ratings, off-Broadway musicals, as well as the reserve The Geometry of Melody. Delivered in Scranton, Pa on Feb 25, 1952, Gelb started playing piano at age group seven, began composing significantly at age group 11, and documented his first record at 13. At 14 he earned the Yamaha International Youthful Composer competition. As an adolescent, he shaped his personal trio and toured with Friend DeFranco as well as the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Students of Margaret Chaloff (mom of Serge Chaloff), he went to The Berklee College of Music in Boston, and trained the annals of jazz in the University or college of California in the ’70s. His 1st major jazz recording New Souls premiered in 1980 creating a worldwide status. His 1st two albums presented Kim Parker, stepdaughter of Charley Parker. A specialist around the pianist Expenses Evans, Gelb works a music posting organization entitled Imagin Actions Music.
