Born in the united states of Oman, Lamya grew up in Kenya and educated in Britain and Egypt. Performing before she could chat, Lamya (pronounced “lamb-ya”) was a classically qualified opera vocalist and vocalist. After viewing an interview with Madonna from NEW YORK, Lamya ran aside to NY to pursue her musical profession. After heading from dance golf club to dance golf club and requesting to sing, she captured her 1st break in NEW YORK in 1991. Performing business lead vocals on “Break 4 Like” by DJ Vaughn Mason, the track resulted in her singing business lead vocals for Spirit II Soul. Following that, Lamya became a member of Duran Duran on tour and in addition performed with David Bowie and Wayne Dark brown. In 2002, Lamya released her debut recording, Learning From Falling. Performing, generating, and composing most of her personal tunes, the five-octave vocalist used poems created since age group 11 as lyrical content material.
