Lamar Campbell is a modern gospel songwriter and the first choice of a big choir, Heart of Compliment. Before he produced Spirit of Compliment in the mid-’90s, he was most widely known being a songwriter, composing for several groups, like the GMWA Females of Worship. Ultimately, he collected up several professional singers to create Spirit of Compliment. They produced their debut on Tyscot Information in 1995 with Prepared. Three years afterwards, they transferred to EMI Gospel, where they released Lamar Campbell & Heart of Praise. I WANT Your Spirit implemented in mid-1999, so when I BELIEVE About You premiered a year afterwards.
