Lake of Tears initial came together in 1992 when Daniel Brennare, Jonas Eriksson, and Michael Larsson still left the death steel band these were using in and installed with Johan Oudhuis. They documented a demonstration in early 1993 which captured the eye of Black Tag Productions, who agreed upon the band immediately after. Their debut, Greater Artwork, premiered in 1994, implemented quickly by Headstones another year. The music group begun to tour through European countries, shedding guitarist Eriksson in the summertime of 1996. They documented a third record in 1997, A Crimson Cosmos, which obtained them much interest in the steel underground. They employed a fresh guitarist, Ulrik Lindblom, and toured relentlessly until 1999, if they documented Forever Fall.
