Lair of the Minotaur

Chicago’s Lair from the Minotaur was created in springtime of 2003 by former 7000 Dying Rats users Steven Rathbone (vocals/electric guitar) and Donald Adam Barraca, alongside Pelican drummer Larry Herweg. Motivated with the vulgar, misanthropic, proto-black steel pioneered decades previously by famous brands Venom and Hellhammer, after that adding lyrics predicated on traditional Hellenic mythology, the trio created a six-song EP afterwards that season and quickly discovered a house with Southern Lord Information. Their full-length debut, Carnage, found its way to mid-2004 as well as the three-song Cannibal Massacre EP implemented a year afterwards; a second, a lot more potent full-length called THE BEST Destroyer premiered in early 2006.
