Laila Dalseth

Norway is well-known for fjords, northern lamps, Edvard Grieg and for just two very great jazz performers, Karen Krog and Laila Dalseth. In 1954, Dalseth started her singing profession at age 14 in her city of Bergen. Shifting from her house of Bergen to Oslo in 1960, Dalseth started a profession which led to her carrying out and documenting with a few of the most prominent Western and American jazz performers. She has produced single albums with Al Cohn, Milt Hinton, Crimson Mitchell, Bucky Pizzarelli, Louis Stewart and Phillip Catherine for Norway’s Gemini Information. She has made an appearance as a visitor on albums of Arne Domnerus, Bengt Hallberg and her spouse, saxophone participant Totti Bergh. The Norwegian Jazz Culture in addition has honored her using their “Friend” Award.
