Biography

LaDonna Smith offers performed improvised music internationally because the 1970s as violinist, violist and vocalist, while also teaching music in Birmingham, Alabama. With long-time collaborator, guitarist Davey Williams, Smith offers toured THE UNITED STATES and European countries, and Russia, showing up at every main improvisation festival, and several new music celebrations. The classically qualified musician in addition has performed with such main improvisers as Peter Brotzmann, Anne Lebaron, Derek Bailey and Eugene Chadbourne. Furthermore to her are a musician, Smith is definitely co-editor from the Improviser, a global journal of free of charge improvisation, and functions as a visible designer, exhibiting her drawings and ceramics within the U.S.
