La Tropa F

The Tejano group La Tropa F comprised members from the music Farias family — Joe (bajo sexto and vocals) David (lead vocals and accordion), Juan (drums), Jaime (keyboards), Jesse (bass) and Jesse Jr. (percussion). Currently with many recordings under their collective belt, they agreed upon to the Manny Music label in 1990, credit scoring their breakthrough strike using the chart-topping “Mil Noches.” In 1992, La Tropa F gained the “Greatest Local Conjunto” prize on the first annual “Pura Vida” Hispanic Music Honours; a year afterwards, they also gained the committee’s “Greatest Conjunto” prize, that same season taking house “Conjunto of the entire year” honors on the 13th Annual Tejano Music Honours. Their many recordings consist of 1994’s Culturas, 1995’s Hermanos Hasta Un Fin, 1996’s A Un Nuevo Nivel, 1997’s Musica Sin Frontera and 1998’s Desde un Corazon de Tx.
