LA Priest

LA Priest (pronounced Lah Preest) may be the single project of Uk electronic musician Samuel Eastgate, who in addition has worked beneath the name Sam Dirt. Although he in the beginning released the LA Priest task in 2007 having a 12” launch on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label, he’s most widely known as the frontman for Castle Donington-based digital art rockers Past due from the Pier, who released one extremely acclaimed LP, Dream Black Route, in 2008, and a small number of singles prior to going on hiatus this year 2010. Over another many years, the reclusive Eastgate relocated around, hanging out in Greenland producing sonic tests and learning electromagnetic phenomena and evidently producing a quantity of key, uncredited tasks. He eventually resolved down in a little village beyond Welshpool, Wales where he re-emerged publicly in early 2015 announcing a cope with Domino Information beneath the LA Priest name. Citing the impact of pop mavericks like David Byrne, Prince, and Arthur Russell, Eastgate released the singles “Oino” and “Party Zute/Learning to Appreciate,” which shown his ambitious brand-new direction. Both of these singles appeared in the full-length Inji, which found its way to June 2015.
