La Dispute

Grand Rapids, Michigan-based post-hardcore music group La Dispute shaped in 2004, composed of cousins Jordan Dreyer and Brad Vander Lugt (on vocals and drums, respectively) with close friends Kevin Whittemore and Derek Sterenberg on guitars and Adam Kool on bass. The music group performed locally before launching debut EP Vancouver in 2006. Soon after, Sterenberg was changed by his sibling Chad. Adam Vass became a member of the music group in 2007, changing Kool on bass. Dreyer’s lyrics and vocal design low fat toward the spoken phrase design of his created poetry and prose, acquiring an area between stream-of-consciousness fluidity and imagery of everyday lifestyle. Pursuing their debut EP, La Dispute released the albums Someplace in the bottom from the River Between Vega and Altair in 2008 and Animals in 2011. Between albums, the music group issued some 7″ produces entitled Hear, Right here, which centered on even more experimental materials. Their third record, Rooms of the home, materialized in 2014.
