Kyle Craft is usually a Louisiana-bred, Portland, Oregon-based singer/songwriter having a strong, full-throated wail and knack for pairing Stones-ian hooks and Dylan-esque wordplay with glam-kissed pop swagger. A Shreveport indigenous who found music in his early teenagers via a opportunity K-Mart-purchased David Bowie compilation, Art grabbed his acoustic guitar, and other things that he could bring, and re-located towards the bustling music hub of Portland soon after the dissolution of the eight-year romantic relationship. Determined to route his heartache into real rock & move, he began producing demos and piecing together what would ultimately become his debut recording. Returning house to Shreveport to lay out tracks on the D.I.Con. rig, he ultimately fled back Western where he got some the help of Brandon Summers and Benjamin Weikel of Helio Series in tweaking the mixes. The tunes ultimately captured the ear of Sub Pop, who authorized Craft soon thereafter. His debut LP for the label, Dolls of Highland, premiered in Apr 2016.
