Biography
Pianist Kuroda Kyoko was created in Tokyo and began performing piano as a kid, learning classical music until she was 17. During university, she became thinking about traditional Japanese theatre and performed Noh music, an application that continuing to impact her. In 1982, Kyoko started playing jazz, beneath the teaching of Aki Takase, with whom she examined for just two years. By the end of this period, she started functioning skillfully, and by 1986, acquired formed her very own quartet, BAHR, which continued to be together for the year-and-a-half. From nov 1987 until 1990, Kyoko aimed ORT, a musical workshop with individuals such as for example turntablist Otomo Yoshihide, and a visitor functionality by Kazutoki Umezu at ORT’s last concert (Kyoko participated in Umezu’s Oshigoto task the following calendar year).
