Kudu was a collaborative three-piece featuring associates from Western world London’s broken defeat massive. Dominic Stanton (Sonar Group, Static Imprints, Domu), Paul Dolby (Seiji, Disorient, Opaque, Bugz in the Attic), and indigenous New Zealander Tag de Clive-Lowe (mainly a keyboardist) teamed up release a several productions in the first 2000s, like the “Space” 10″ for Bitasweet. “Transit,” the wonderful B-side from the “Space” 10″, came out on Bitasweet’s Phuturistic Dancin’: Objective One compilation. Each producer’s previous involvements using the drum’n’bass motion played a significant role within their beat-heavy function, which had taken on bits discovered from jazz-funk, fusion, and Afro-beat.
